PM SHRI Schools is a centrally sponsored flagship scheme launched by the Government of India aimed at transforming more than 14,500 existing schools across the country into model schools. These schools are managed by Central Government, State/UT Governments, local bodies, including Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS). The initiative is grounded in the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and seeks to provide high-quality education in an inclusive, equitable, and tech-integrated environment.
The scheme ensures that every child enrolled in a PM SHRI school feels safe, valued, welcomed, and motivated to learn. These schools will feature well-developed infrastructure, including smart classrooms, science and computer labs, libraries, sports facilities, and green campuses.
